The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, demons, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
